Lost Battalion is an Enemy Faction in Darkest Dungeon 2. Enemies in the game are encountered in Factions, and do not mix with each other. Each enemy encounter will be a combination of enemies from one Faction type. There are seven factions found in this title, the Lost Battalion Cadavers, Cosmic Cultists, Gaunt, Fanatics, Pillagers, Swine, and Plague Eaters. Each Faction is generally found in one Location Biome, except Cultists and Pillagers since Cultist Encounters and Road Fights can be randomly triggered at anytime during the journey throughout the maps. Enemies from one factions share similar characteristics, but ultimately have their own set of Unique Skills. Enemies that don't fall into these Factions are usually found in the Echoes of the Past where Heroes explore enemies and ghosts of their memories.
Slow, vacant, and resigned, the lost battalion shambles on. They had honour once. Now they have nothing at all.

- Location: The Tangle
- The Lost Batallion is made up of Cadavers, usually found in the Forgotten Outposts throughout The Tangle. The Lost Batallion is the undead remnants of what was once honorable army men. They are still seen in their last donned Armor and weapons and now continue use them in addition to their newfound abilities in their undead state.
"Resigned to the end of things, they waited for death. And still they wait.
Emptied of mind and spirit by some existential shock,
the poor devils roam aimlessly amidst the trees.
These seasoned soldiers were deployed to a winding front...
... meant to prevent the cult's descent from the Mountain.
