Play Out is a Skill in Darkest Dungeon 2, it is a skill that is exclusive to the Jester class. Skills in Darkest Dungeon 2 are used in two ways, either to attack Enemies or to buff yourself or your allies with various effects. Skills are unlocked at the Shrine of Mastery, which also provides backstory for the hero. And to upgrade the skills, you will need to spend Mastery Points, which can be earned by completing Road Battles and Routes or main quests.

- Hero (Class): Jester
- Rank: The Jester hero must be positioned on team ranks 2, 3, or 4.
- Target: The skill of the Jester hero can target a single hero unit of rank positions 1, 2, or 3.
- The targeted hero unit moves 1 rank to the back and is buffed with the Block Positive Token.
Darkest Dungeon 2 Play Out Skill Guide
Play Out is another support-skill that grants a Block Token and causes the targeted hero unit to move back 1 rank. The Play Out Skill of the Jester hero class in Darkest Dungeon 2 requires him to be ranked on positions 2-4 and can only target a single hero unit that is positioned on team ranks 1-3. Heroes that are inflicted with the Block Token receives -50% damage from an enemy attack. Further upgrading this skill by spending 1 Mastery Point upgrades the Block Token to Block + which reduces damage by -75% from an enemy attack.
How to Unlock Play Out in Darkest Dungeon 2
- Requires the hero to reflect on his past via the Shrine of Reflection to learn this skill. Obtained as a reward for clearing Chapter 1 of the Jester's Lore.
