How do I get Stagecoach Upgrades?

You will need to scout and look for useful supplies and items in order to upgrade your Stagecoach. While driving the Stagecoach, you need to pay attention to the road as there are random items laying on the ground that you can run over, running over these items can provide you small rewards of loot which you can use either in combat or to upgrade your Stagecoach at the Inn.

Stagecoach Upgrades can also be purchased from various Merchants such as the Provisioner at the Inn or the Hoarder when you are traveling. It can also be obtained as random rewards for meeting goals and interacting at Assistance Encounters. It can also be randomly rewarded for winning enemy encounters or enemy group resistances.

Can I upgrade my Stagecoach items?

Unfortunately, no. In Darkest Dungeon 2, players can only equip up to 4 types of Stagecoach upgrade items and this can only be done when the team is resting at the Inn. You can, however, stack or equip the same upgrade item to increase the stats or effectiveness of the item. For example, you can have up to 3 or 4 Storage Trunk upgrade item to further increase the inventory size, allowing you to gather more items.

How do I use and equip Stagecoach Upgrades?

The Wainwright at the Inn is the only place where you can install or remove Stagecoach Upgrades, which is present at each Inn. The Inn will act as a safe zone for the heroes and a workshop for improving the Stagecoach. [CLICK and DRAG] from inventory to install. Select the Stagecoach Upgrades filter in the inventory window to easily see which upgrades are available to you. Your Stagecoach is limited in how many items it can carry. Press [I] to view what you have. Your shared inventory is split between all item types. Some items stack well, whereas others take an entire slot. Use the inventory tabs to easily see each item type. Some Stagecoach Upgrades increase stacking limits.

If the Stagecoach becomes full, you may wish to discard less important items. [CLICK and DRAG] them off of the inventory window. Items cannot be sold anywhere, so throw away what you don't need. Discarding items earns a small amount of Hope.
