Stealth is a Status Effects in Darkest Dungeon 2. Status Effects are now used as Tokens that are guaranteed effects upon use during combat. These are sorted as Buffs, Debuffs, Stealth, Unique and Special effects. Some effects come from Skills and Trinkets. Skills can now cause a variety of effects that are shown by tokens. To see what each token means, each token can be moused over and the list of tokens can be viewed at the token glossary. This can also be done during combat.

 

Stealth Information

Stealth is an existing status effect in Darkest Dungeon 2 that had been carried over from the previous title stats. In Early Access, this is the only status effect with its own category in stealth. This effect is mostly found on skills unlocked by the Grave RobberEnemies also have the ability to be in stealth. Some enemies may even appear with the effect already in place upon encountering them. However, because stealth is one of the Grave Robber's strengths, one of her starting SkillsThrown Dagger. When the skill is in use the hero, then has the ability to ignores enemies that are in Stealth mode and it also removes the effect. "Since you know how to hide behind the shadows, you definitely know how to force enemies to reveal themselves." Strategically this is to prevent being the target of an upcoming devastating attack or effect. Aside from the Grave Robber's skills, some Quirks also give the ability to bypass and ignore an opponent in stealth, some even completely wiping the effect off so that other heroes are then free to target then enemy that was once in stealth.
